Sometimes you come across a book and instantly know, that you have to share it with your girl friends. You just cannot keep this to yourself. I never had that thought when it comes to business books though. They usually don’t have fun insights and that specific grip to it. That vibe, that makes it impossible for me to stop reading.
What if you get business advice served from a female point of view? From women with all kinds of different backgrounds in various professions?!
That’s what you get when you pick up In the Company of Women: Inspiration and Advice from 100 Makers, Artists, and Entrepreneurs by Grace Bonney also known as founder of Design*Sponge.
“I loved the ways business books for women were happening, but they seemed to be telling the same story of a thin, white, relatively wealthy straight woman over and over again,” Bonney told Vogue.com. “At a certain point, I realized we were really missing out by not hearing more voices, and more voices in their own words.”
That interview quote pretty much sums up what I love so much about this book. Different women from different paths of life. Women of different age and with different backgrounds. Women who share their stories and honest advice and nothing but love for each other! How’s that for some Friday inspiration?!
With Galentine’s Day just around the corner, I thought, why not share my love for this book with one of my lovely readers! Are you interested in getting your hands on this gem? Make sure to comment below and tell us: What’s the best advice a woman ever gave you? Also feel free to name one female you look up to and why so!
The giveaway is open internationally and ends one week from now on February 17th, midnight Vienna time (CET). Don’t forget to use a valid email address. The winner will be chosen by me and notified the day after via email and on Instagram.| CLOSED!
